Procurement Resource Assessment of Dimethyl Ether (DME) Production Process:

 1. Dimethyl Ether (DME) Production From Renewable Energies: This report presents the economics of Dimethyl Ether (DME) production from Renewable Energies. The synthesis of dimethyl ether requires reactants and is produced from sustainable energy sources such as wind, sun, and biomass etc. Biomasses like agro-residue, energy crops, and forest residue, among others, are gasified to yield a stream of syngas which is fed into a one or two-step DME synthesis process.
The syngas mixture's hydrogen steam is produced using electricity created by using renewable energy sources in an electrolyser. These sources include wind farms and photovoltaics, which are combined with CO2 and CO. By doing this, renewable energy can be transported, stocked and used easily since it is stored in DME.

2. Dimethyl Ether (DME) Production From Direct and Indirect Process: This report covers a detailed cost analysis of Dimethyl Ether (DME) production using Direct and Indirect Processes.

  • Direct Process

DME using syngas is produced with the help of a bifunctional catalyst in order to carry out the synthesis as well as methanol dehydration in a single reactor. Next, a purification unit, DME Synthesis Reactor, helps separate the DME from the water and methane in a double distillation phase. In the reactor, the syngas is produced using a coal/petroleum residue gasifier or a natural gas steam reformer.

  • Indirect Process

In this method, two different reactors containing adequate catalysts are used to carry out the manufacturing of DME using methanol and the synthesis of methanol from syngas.

Procurement Resource Assessment of Coal Production Process:

1. Coal Production From Underground Mining: The study offers a detailed cost analysis of Coal production via Underground Mining. In this technique, coal is extracted from a depth of up to 300 meters under the surface of the Earth. To access the depth of the mine, miners take an elevator down to the mine shaft. They handle big machinery for extracting coal and transporting it above ground.

2. Coal Production From Surface Mining: This report presents the economics of Coal production from Surface Mining. At first, trees and other vegetation get removed from the region, and the top layers of the topsoil are removed and stored. Next, the coal seam is revealed by drilling the hard strata on it. Following this, many steps are carried out for the production, including fragmenting or blasting the hard strata using explosives, clearing the material blasted, clearing the top of the coal seam, and fragmenting the coal seam. At last, the coal-derived is loaded in haulage vehicles and transported.

During the process, milk is optimized and ensured in terms of its fat-to-protein ratio. To make sure that the milk is apt for processing, adequate vigilance and austere, standardized circumstances are required.

In the next stage, the milk undergoes pasteurization (heat treatment) in the presence of optimum conditions for a certain number of days, subject to the preferred cheese grade. Later, the milk is chilled within a temperature range facilitative enough for the bacteria to act on. In the following step, the rennet enzyme is added for curdling the milk, which is later cut into slices. Then these slices are processed with brine, heated again, and get their whey is removed, resulting in the production of cheese cubes.

Procurement Resource Assessment of Cement Production Process:

1. Cement Production Process From Limestone, Sand, Clay, and Bauxite: This report consists of a detailed cost evaluation of cement. At first, using a crusher, raw materials like limestone, sand, clay (silicon, aluminium, iron), and bauxite are crushed into smaller pieces. Next, secondary crushers are used to refine the size of the ingredients and readied for pyro processing. Finally, in a kiln, a homogenous mixture with additives is prepared for the production of cement. The raw mixture is dried (moistness less than 1%) and ground to a paste with a roller and then fed into a kiln, where the raw material is converted into oxides to be burned in the kiln.

A string of chemical reactions is carried out in the clinker between calcium and silicon dioxide compounds. Following the removal from the kiln, the clinker is chilled to 100-200°C from a temperature of 2000°C by passing air over it. In this stage, various additives like gypsum, ethylene glycol, and triethanolamine get included in the cement to enhance its properties. At last, the final mix is cooled and turned into a fine powder via rotating drums with steel balls. Finally, the resulting product formed is transferred to silos where cement gets packed.

Product Definition:

Cement is a substance with adhesive properties that works like a binding agent in all sorts of applications. It is primarily used in building and civil engineering construction. It is a powder that is finely ground, mixed with water and set to turn into a hard mass. There are two types of cement, hydraulic and non-hydraulic. It can be found in many forms and distinguished on the basis of properties such as fineness, soundness, strength, consistency, setting time, loss of ignition, the heat of hydration, specific gravity, and bulk density.

Market Drivers:

The Cement industry is being propelled by its range of applications for building large masses like dams, for surface renderings, and for binding bricks, blocks, and stone in walls. In addition, concrete has several uses, mainly in construction, including in building road bases, pipes, tiles and railroad ties etc., which is furthering the market's growth.
